Manley Performance manufactures the finest steel connecting rods in the industry. Our Pro Series “I” Beam is forged from 4340 aircraft quality vacuum degassed material. We utilize our proven Lightweight yet rugged design and add ARP 2000 cap screws. All rods are properly shot peened after machining and 100% magnafluxed.
Manley Pro Series connecting rods are used by the very best engine builders in and outside of the United States in some of the fastest, high horsepower, heart stopping engines being produced.
For the budget conscious enthusiast, we also offer our very high quality, yet economical, H-Beam design connecting rods. These are also manufactured from 4340 alloy forgings. They are fully machined, heat treated, stress relieved, shot peened, and magnafluxed. They are built with a choice of either ARP 8740 alloy or ARP 2000 bolts.
Manley H-Beams were the exclusive rod of choice for the Ford SVT Mustang Cobra program in 2003-2004 as well as in the Ford GT Supercar.
An alternative to the H-Beam is the Manley Sportsmaster I-Beam connecting rod for the Chevy LS engines. Forged from 4340 aircraft quality material, these rods are an excellent economical choice as an upgrade over the OEM replacement connecting rod. With full beam, pin, and cap area profiling to remove stress risers and render the lightest possible rod, the Sportsmaster is ideal for mild engine modifications in street applications. Rods are shot peened, fully maganfluxed, and come with 3/8″ ARP 8740 alloy cap screws.
On all Manley connecting rods, sets are weight matched to ą 1.5 grams, big and small end bores are final honed to a tolerance of ą .0002″, critical bend and twist attributes are held to a minimum, and exacting attention is paid to every detail by our final inspection department; thus rendering a finished product that is second to none.
